The amphipod Ampelisca brevicornis and the urchin Paracentrotus lividus are used as target species to test the environmental quality of dredged material. Also the duckweed Lemna minor has been used to assess the ASEC depuration efficiency. Certified laboratory determined High-quality water (physic-chemical and biological chracterization) of water samples obtained after depuration of dredged material by ASEC technology.
